    Essential communications

Check-ins, billing confirmations, security notices, and other necessary operational emails are not marketing and cannot be switched off.

    Marketing communications

Occasional emails about Y.O.D.O. features, tips, and offers. We send marketing on one of two lawful bases: (a) consent under Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR and Regulation 22(1) PECR (for non-customers, by clear affirmative action), or (b) the Regulation 22(3) PECR soft opt-in for similar services to existing customers, with an unsubscribe link in every message. You can withdraw consent at any time under Article 7(3) UK GDPR.

    How to unsubscribe from marketing

If you opt in to marketing, you can unsubscribe at any time:

    • 1
Using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
    • 2
      By contacting info@yodo.ltd

We will process your unsubscribe request promptly. You may receive one further communication if your request is received after a campaign has already been prepared for sending.

If you unsubscribe and later wish to receive marketing communications again, you can opt back in through your account settings or by contacting us.

    Marketing consent is never required

We will not require marketing consent to use the core Service. You can use Y.O.D.O. without opting in to any marketing communications.

We keep a record of your consent choices. See our Privacy Policy for details.

    EEA users

For users in the European Economic Area, the equivalent EU PECR rules apply (the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC as transposed in each Member State) alongside Article 6(1)(a) EU GDPR. The same opt-in / soft opt-in distinction applies in substance and we honour unsubscribe requests immediately.

Users outside the UK and EEA

Marketing communications are sent under UK PECR and (for EEA recipients) EU PECR / EU GDPR rules. If you are located outside the UK and EEA, your local marketing law (for example CAN-SPAM in the United States, CASL in Canada, or local equivalents elsewhere) may grant you additional rights. We honour mandatory rights where they apply, but our marketing programme is designed to UK and EEA standards.
