    After You Are Gone

What happens to your messages when you die

Most digital messages either vanish, get scattered across platforms, or end up in an executor's inbox. Y.O.D.O. exists so the messages that matter reach the people you chose, after a passing has been verified.

    The short answer

When a Y.O.D.O. Account Holder dies, sealed messages are released to named Recipients only after a Delegate reports the passing, completes Persona identity verification, and a death certificate is uploaded within 30 days. A 72-hour dispute window precedes any release. Drafts and unverified accounts are never opened.

    Verification first, release second

A Delegate must report the passing and complete Persona identity verification, and a death certificate must be on file. If the Account Holder has enabled it, a Special Delegate who is a solicitor or notary may upload the certificate. Without that, nothing is released.

Recipients receive only what you addressed

There is no master inbox. Each Recipient receives the message you wrote for them, with the attachments you chose, and nothing else.

If verification never happens, nothing is released

Messages stay sealed indefinitely if a passing is never verified. We will never open or use your messages for any other purpose.
